Because I am a sub-contractor and move from project to project (and therefore physically change location)I did have not had my computer online.
Through an error in judgement I let the email account related to seti / boinc lapse and be deleted.
When I signed-in after my long sabtical, I had upgraded my system to a higher rated system (and transfered over the hard drive as a master) I did so with my authenticator and then updated my email.
When I then downloaded the new version of the boinc host client application to run einstein at home, it started up with a new authenicator under my new email address.
Hence the problem, downloads to my system only meet with error messages, I have nether claimed nor accumulated credit as no work has been done even though my computer stats show 100% network connectivity and my system is completing the work.
My former authenicator is accumulating the credit.
My user name appears twice in the boinc database, a duplicate accept for the authenticator codes.
I have subsequently changed one of the authenticator email addresses so that I can keep track of the differences.
Can I merge these two by just deleting the one with no credit or are the XML file cross contaminated and need to be repaired?
or
Should I just purge the data and the application after all the work is complete (by accepting no new tasks) and then redownload the application and sign in again?
Any light on this issue would be most illuminating.
Thanks.

Two autheniticator accounts

The extra account might be an inconvenience, but the errors that prevent you from getting new credits seems to be hardware related. Your host generates several different errors which seem to be either memory or disk related. I would run diagnostic software on this host to test the hardware.

Hi!
"Deleted because of Spam" is a username that was inadvertendly given to many members", the ID of the user writing the first message is different from yours so I don't think your account was hijacked.
I aldreay forwarded your request to rename your account to it's original state to Bernd.
Sorry for the inconveniences

Ok, Thanks Bikeman.
When I ran a script to delete

When I ran a script to delete spammer accounts I mistakenly deleted about 70 user accounts that were not spammers. If your user name got changed to "Deleted Because of Spam" you were one of the unlucky ones.
I apologize for deleting your profile and I will try to recover your profile in the next couple days.

I tried to recover all the accounts that were accidentally deleted. I was not able to recover some of the newest accounts that were created. User 342314 I did not have you in my backup. Sorry. You can edit your account info and change your name and profile back to whatever you want but I unfortunately do not have you in my backup so I can't do this for you.
I will definitely try to be more careful in the future.

Thanks David.
Back the way it was originally.
(I must change that picture sometime
as it is now no longer humourous)

Graeme.

Ahem...I would have made a remark about potentially false binary system GW signals in LIGO, but that would be sexist, so I don't .
