I currently have 6 tasks listed as 'Ready to report.' If I go to the log they are 'finished upload' and on the web site they are 'In progress' I have Time-Warner network access, permanent connect, not dial-up. I am getting new tasks as these complete. Any thoughts???

Tri-state Q

Hi,

according to the web page, there is just one task "in progress" at the moment.
Can you confirm?

Uploading and reporting is done independently and should happen eventually and w/o user intervention.

I just found under the

I just found under the Projects tab the Update command. It appears to have completed the upload. And I see them either validated or pending. thank you. It was the Update command I was looking for. Prior the upload of completed tasks was automatic.

Upload is automatic.

Upload is automatic. Reporting as well. But where uploading is merely moving data from your hard drive to a hard drive at the project, reporting requires database access. Reporting one task takes as much overhead of the database as reporting 10 tasks, so both BOINC and the project prefer that you report tasks in bunches.

Completed work is reported at the first of:

1) 24 hours before deadline
2) Connect Every X before deadline.
3) 24 hours after task completion.
4) Immediately if the upload completes later than either 1, 2, or 3 upon completion of the task.
5) On a trickle up message (CPDN only, I believe).
6) On a trickle down request.
7) On a server scheduled connection. Used, but I am not certain by which project.
8) On a request for new work.
9) When the user pushes the update button.
10) On a request from an account manager.
