Topic 188894

At the moment, BOINC is trying to upload 2 partially complete WUs. I have network access disabled so it cannot. I am using 4.19 with W98SE.

The other oddity about these WUs is that they only have a partial file name. One is H1_0564.9 the other is H1_1285.4.

Should I let them upload or reset BIONC? Or is there another choice?

Thanks

there was a thread, where someone had a backup of the boinc directory and he managed to get his results through despite client errors by using this backup.
If yo do not have such a backup, the only way seems to be to let your pc upload these odd files - I bet you won't get credit for it, as you probably know.
Sorry - maybe you wait, whether someone else has more ideas.

I do not have any backups. Iam not concerned about the credit at this point, I would just like to clear these with a minimum of impact to E@H and the other members.
Thanks for your reply.

If the messages don't bother

If the messages don't bother much just let it be. If that workunit is already finished on the website (credit granted and your result timed out, or deleted) then go ahead and kill it.

Partly completed Results

Partly completed Results shouldn't be uploaded unless they got an unrecoverable error. The filenames you have given suggest that your client is actually trying to download new data files instead. In any case I would let this happen.

You are correct. I have a dialup connection and must have cut of the downloads. I restarted the connection and BOINC and it is happily downloading.
Thank you.
