After a system crash due to bad blocks I reinstalled my SuSE Linux 9.1 and BOINC 4.43, restarting two projects, seti and einstein. While seti correctly sent me one WU, einstein sent me 2 with the same deadline. One is currently running while the other is idle. I have set a 200 preference for einstein over seti, but einstein deadlines are far stricter then seti's and the second WU will be late anyway.

I have set a 200 preference for einstein over seti, but einstein deadlines are far stricter then seti's and the second WU will be late anyway.
4.43 will eventually enter panic mode (a bit too late if you have a dual) in order to meet the deadline. BOINC will temporarily override your resource shares in order to make the deadline, and will then not download work from the project that used the extra CPU time for a while in order to balance resource usage to be what you specified.
