The tasks I checked (this one for example), all had the message[pre]Espace insuffisant sur le disque. (0x70) - exit code 112 (0x70)[/pre]in the stderr output.

Exit code 112 means:
ERR_XML_PARSE -112 unexpected XML tag or syntax Unexpected XML tag or XML format
However Espace insuffisant sur le disque means Not enough space on disk. So the problem could be as simple as allowing Boinc more hard disk space or that the hard disk is running out of space. Either one is user controlled but the 112 error code is not a user thing.
Exit code 112 means:
ERR_XML_PARSE -112 unexpected XML tag or syntax Unexpected XML tag or XML format
No, it doesn't.
Exit code 112 is something completely different from exit code -112. There are some 224 different errors between them. The minus sign in front of the error number does make a difference.
Minus error numbers -100 to -234 (at present) represent specific BOINC errors.
What does error 112 mean then? That's all up to the programmer of the science application code, or the programmer of the compiler used and usually given a clue about in clear text, as is the case here (just in French).
Seeing how his errors vary from -120 (Input file einsteinbinary_ABP2_3.11_windows_intelx86__ABP2cuda23.exe missing or invalid: -120), through "Espace insuffisant sur le disque. (0x70) - exit code 112 (0x70)", through "Input file einsteinbinary_ABP2_3.11_windows_intelx86__ABP2cuda23.exe missing or invalid: -163", through "Input file h1_1400.90_S5R7 missing or invalid: -119", to "app_version download error: couldn't get input files: -186" ...
I suspect that either his firewall or anti-virus (or other anti-malware application) eats his applications after download (or blocks them), or he's got serious disk state problems (broken sectors), which can only be recovered by installing a brand new hard drive.

My mistake then, the wiki i have a link to does not show any of the 100 series error codes, so I guessed they were the same as the minus codes. http://www.boinc-wiki.info/Error_Code If I had gone down to the bottom of the upper chart and then farther down the page, I would have seen that in the top section are minus signs for some 200 series codes and then on down the page are some non minus 200 series codes, thus indicating a difference! Thanks for the clarification!!
Too many errors !
