I don't suppose any of you have any real idea of what it's like when I don't turn off for hours on end...
*watch Einsteinians flee in all directions*
Oh...
...perhaps you do.
I take a Tylenol PM to help me go to sleep, the Tylenol does it's thing and the sleep aide part is very small but it does work for me. My main problem is bone spurs in my shoulders, they fixed the right one but it came back and the left one is ongoing. I use Blu Emu cream every night just before bed rubbing it on my shoulders, and hips as they hurt too, and the combination helps me get to sleep within about 2 to 3 minutes of laying down, according to my smart bed. I then stay asleep for about 5 to 6 hours before I either toss and turn due to the pain coming back or get up and just plan on a mid afternoon nap. Naps are good things!! I get the cream at Walmart for under $15US and a tube lasts me a couple of weeks.
I am sorry to hear about your shoulder, WK :( I spent 5 months hang-draping hot water bottles on one because of a trapped nerve. It was a few years ago now *slow blink* so that might be something to have a shouting match about...?
;)
I was actually referring more to the fact that my head never stops twittering away about stuff while I'm awake. The best way to describe it to those out of earshot - which is everyone - would be to imagine every thread on every board simultaneously filling up with endless anniet posts that just droned on and on and on and on and on.
Scared now?
edit to greet Mikey: Hello :) That 2-3 minutes thing is probably something we could have a shouting match over if you felt like one...? Obviously I'll be busy for a bit with WK first... ;)
I'm sorry you're getting aches and pains too :( I think they work well in the sense they let us know we're still alive, but beyond that...
Please wait here. Further instructions could pile up at any time. Thank you.
I don't know. I expect there's some knocking about in there but I've never been browbeaten into fasting for 24hours to find a number to describe it or anything.
I'm getting to wear something for twenty fours though. I've never done that before either so am not quite sure what to expect Will I beep for example? Am I allowed to get rained on? Where will it go? Do I need to plug myself into a charger?
I don't know what day it is though.
edit: I think I did know sometime last week. I also forgot to say it's for blood pressure.
I hope everyone's having as pleasant a weekend as possible. I know some people are probably not able to do so at home due to stormy events - but I just thought I'd mention it.

Thanks for the good wishes. Up here in Michigan we're relatively safe from those monsters, but my sister-in-law and her husband had to evacuate out of St Augustine a couple of days ago.
@Mikey, per the original post in this thread, would you please declare me to be the winner?

You don't need to do that for a blood sugar test at home, you just borrow a meter from someone who has one, poke a hole in your finger, squeeze out a bit of blood, put it on the little strip you have inserted into the machine and voila a number pops out. Do that several times per day, I recommend not using the same finger each time, and you will have an idea of what your 'normal' is after a few days. NO fasting needed. Dr's want a fasting number so they can eliminate diet from your numbers and get a true reading of just your body. The key is to find your number and then adjust your diet accordingly, perhaps using pills or injections if needed, to keep you in the 'normal' range. A blood sugar that is too low can be just as bad as one that is too high, so testing can be an important first step.
And to stop before we go there you do NOT need to be overweight to have funky blood sugar numbers!! Lots of 'normal' sized people have funky numbers and just don't have a clue that they are even at risk for them. Stereotypes can be a bad thing sometimes, and thinking overweight people are the ONLY ones with funky blood sugar numbers is one that needs to go away.
Perhaps Mikey is going to ask someone else instead, and for as long as he doesn't answer Randy won't be able to compete, what will happen? I guess we are going to find out at some point. Mikey is known to want to win himself.
But what is greater, the desire to win, generosity or politeness (Randy was the first)? And the next question would then be, would that change when the price were to be bigger?

Why would Mikey declare you the winner in Jonathan's thread? I'd say you weren't reading the right post then! ;-)
