You might very well think that,
But I couldn't possibly comment.

Said establishment has had the pleasure of our patronage before, and was well prepared with sticking plasters in their first aid kit, should they have become necessary. The cabinet makers were on standby but were stood down, and they reverted to Defcon 3 upon our departure. Oh yes, from the House of Cards trilogy by Michael Dobbs, who at one time was the Conservative Party Chief of Staff. It is therefore believed that a lot of the tales and plots were taken from real life.
Is was the same as "Yes Minister" and the follow up "Yes Prime Minister" written by Antony Jay and Jonathan Lynn. Margaret Thatcher said they were among her favourite programs and that it was so true to life that they must have had inside knowledge.
The I know who reads the papers sketch.

Don't tell me about the Press. I know *exactly* who reads the papers. The Daily Mirror is read by the people who think they run the country. The Guardian is read by people who think they *ought* to run the country. The Times is read by the people who actually *do* run the country. The Daily Mail is read by the wives of the people who run the country. The Financial Times is read by people who *own* the country. The Morning Star is read by people who think the country ought to be run by *another* country. The Daily Telegraph is read by the people who think it is.
Sir Humphrey: Prime Minister, what about the people who read The Sun?
Bernard Woolley: Sun readers don't care *who* runs the country - as long as she's got big ti*s.

So you are saying it was a common type of tryst at the usual place but that you can't talk about it? Why even bring it up then? I'm sooo confused, where's that airsoft gun of mine, the squirrels are BACK!!!

Hi Mikey
I was having a few too many squirrels here this Spring but the last week or so it looks like we are back to one.....like most of my *wild critters* he is like a tame pet.......but I told him the other day if he wants to keep getting some of the birds sunflower seeds he has to chase the pigeons away when they trespass
Well he is pretty good at chasing the lil birds around but the 5 pigeons aren't as easy so out comes the BB gun.

Hey Magic how are you? I see you are still crunching and moving on up, that's a good thing. And yes the pigeons and squirrels are a pain in the neck, for me it's crows, but they are essentially the same. I did see an owl the other day target a squirrel on my deck, that squirrel took off like a bat out of he!!, apparently he KNEW what was coming if he didn't!! The owl JUST missed him as he ducked under an old playground set after nearly jumping the whole way to the ground from the top step of my 2nd story deck. That squirrel launched himself off the top step only landing on the bottom step and in full stride ran as low to the ground as he could get under the playground set. I was HOPING the owl would get him, but maybe next time!! Sometimes I see the owl flying thru the trees his wings moving as he avoids this or that branch, it is VERY dense, but he must be successful sometimes or he wouldn't still be here. I hear him every morning giving two hoots in quick succession for over 15 minutes, before he flies off into the distance.

Yes owls are good hunters day or night around here but I only hear them hoot and rarely see them......several years ago I was walking around my trees during the day and a big white owl must have saw me and swooped on out of there.
Here we have hawks and bald eagles and osprey.....and blue herons going after the smaller critters here during the day......herons on my banned list after stealing too many of my trout and the hawks on the same list for eating the smaller birds out at the feeders and poor robins that are all over the lawn eating bugs after I mow......I even scared the hawk away today with Betsy the 12 gauge .......ah hell the wife just sent me to feed the mom and baby wild mallards we have in the pond and one baby is gone so only 3 left.....so I guess next time I won't just scare the killer birds away!.
This time of year I have so much to do around the place that I just try to keep the crunchers running and take a quick look around here.
I have over 100 hummingbirds right now and they empty all 6 feeders daily so I am mixing sugar water daily and they eat 20lbs of sugar in a week or less.
Good luck with your critters and hope all is well at the Mikey house

Thanks I had to chase another FAT squirrel away yesterday, he was laying in a dry spot all splayed out flat like he was trying to dry or something. As he ran off I kept shooting at him, but never actually hit him, BUT an owl ALMOST got him as he hung on the side of a big tree! He was hiding from me and my shooting as him and neither of saw the owl until the squirrel started running around and around the tree, that owl was following him around and missed him by less than an inch as the squirrel jumped off the tree just in time. He was complaining for a long time, so maybe the owl nicked him. He was SOOO fat he would have fed owl chicks for a few days!!
My neighbor feeds the hummingbirds too, but not nearly as many as you have!! She replaces the liquid every day too but only fills them less than half way, there is always some left though.
What's a cabinet doing in a pub? Aside from bonking Annie on the head?

Two cabinets walk into a pub.
The barman says : "What'll it be ?"
{ Instead of : "Oh crap ! Walking furniture .... "}
The first cabinet says : "We're empty, what have you got for us ?"
The barman says : "I have this daft Annie on floor."
{ Instead of : "Oh crap ! Talking furniture .... "}
Both cabinets look down at Annie.
The second cabinet says : "Are they supposed to have that much blood in them ?"
The barman says : "She ran into Bob The Buffet."
Both cabinets then look upwards and say together in perfect unison : "Bob ! We was wondering where you were hanging around these days."
{ They are a matching twin set. }
Bob says : "I got Daft Annie ! My shelf life is complete. I'm just kindling, glue & a few brads now. Sigh."
{ "I have this chronic ache in my dovetail joint." }
Boom. Boom. Yep, cooking an egg would have taken longer ....
Cheers, Mike.
