4, somebody at Seti commented on your rapidly dwindling RAC there.
I've already given comment, twice now, at SETI. I'm on strike until CreditNew is dealt with appropriately over there. Since the implementation of V8 work, RAC has plummeted for everyone running GPUs over there. Regardless of the fact that the latest V8 work is VLARs on GPU which take LONGER to crunch; but, are given LESS credit than what they are truly due.
I went from 18 K RAC, pre-V8, crunching from 6 AM to 9 PM Daily to 11 K with V8 VLARs. I think it's stupid to bust my butt crunching for something that no longer can be justified. Especially when I'm NOT paying the electrical bills. I need to be able to justify this hobby to dad, who pays the bill.
I've posted on this in detail in LPTPW at SETI, and now, again, in NC at SETI. All answers have been given. Until CreditNew is fixed/patched/or replaced, I will no longer crunch SETI.
I have diverted my two systems to Einstein, (hence HUGE RAC increase here), and have been graciously donated a third system here by Zombu2.
I will continue monitoring SETI for change. When correct change occurs, I will return.
Tl, I think it is a bit curmudgeonly to denigrate another Boinc project here in Einstein. If you have issues there it would be best to deal with them there.
Waiting for Godot & salvation :-)
Why do doctors have to practice?
You'd think they'd have got it right by now

Well, then David shouldn't have made a statement on it, should he. Since he made said statement, it required answering. Answer given. :p
- new printer this morning. Hewlett Packard ( shiver ). It worked correctly for 17 times in a row before it got confused about the ( allegedly preset ) paper sources : it has two cassette trays and a single sheet feeder. Mea culpa. I tried to use the second tray. Given that the old one upon receiving a print job used to 'configure' itself for about two minutes, and then paper jam, we're winning ! ;-0
- In a little under sixty minutes I have had it said to me : "I'm not a doctor, but .... " some three times. That's a win because it wasn't me talking to myself. Small mercies.
- as for my earlier political incorrectness, well I guess it is me just urinating and moaning expressing concern that I will never successfully employ the excuse of 'forgetfulness' as a professional defense .....
- Passed my CPR accreditation last nite. I have to refresh this every few years. Fun and informative to kiss a rubber doll without the usual ( non-cardiac ) arrest. { HINT FOR NEOPHYTES : you blow the air in at the top end of the mannequin }.
Cheers, Mike.
I have made this letter longer than usual because I lack the time to make it shorter ...

Don't recognise the shiver model must be local to your market. Whats the model No.? HP kit is normally fairly foolproof, sounds as if it might be a buggy or corrupted driver?
"I'm not a doctor, but .... " That's the first bit, then it usually continues with "but I've been on the internet and I think I've got ......" that's when a doctors heart sinks in his boots! Then tries to convince the patient that they have indigestion and are not dying of the galloping lurgi!
There are two subjects guaranteed to get people hot under the collar, religion and politics. Both are best avoided, especially in pubs and on bulletin boards.
As known to all first aiders in the UK as Resuscitation Annie! With all due respect to our esteemed Lady colleague. Some are just torso for CPR training, others full length for recovery position demonstration.

There is room in my life for both projects, but then again I don't care about credits but I am very curious about the science of SETI and gravity.
