Well, I do believe that Chris S. also owes a round of drinks for double posting here
Ok, fair cop guv! It was of course to separate income tax matters from political parties, which seemed sensible to avoid the foggy overlap which Mike referred to. But episode over and happy to stump up.
BTW are we anywhere near the post number we are aiming for, you know, just a little nudge towards the thread title?
Waiting for Godot & salvation :-)
Why do doctors have to practice?
You'd think they'd have got it right by now

Welllll we could be, but that would be giving it all away...wouldn't it? And who said anything about "the post number" being the winning decision maker? I don't think I qualified when the winner was going to be announced that way...did I?
Good morning everyone!!! I hope you are all enjoying this Thursday morning!! It was Sunny yesterday here with NO rain for the first day in a LONG time, 19 of the days so far this month I have seen at least some rain, with yesterday and probably today today being 2 of the VERY few that have not!! That is NOT my normal May, we have normally had at least a few 90+F degree days with the average creeping up towards the upper 70's to low 80's by June. The last few days of May we should see more temps in the low 80's with of course bring with them the chance for some afternoon thunderstorms. Those storms are not unwanted though as they don't last long and do drop the temps, but they do make the place a bit muggy when they do rumble on thru.
Yesterday I had my usual breakfast of 'cheesy eggs', but for lunch and dinner I changed from my normal stuff to a salad for both. I did add some seafood to the salad greens though making it 'different' than a normal house salad like at a restaurant. The seafood was first cooked then chilled with nothing but seafood and a few carrot shreds in the container, all at the store before I bought it, and then added to the salad by me. They were delicious and filling and for the whole day I ended up taking in fewer calories than I expended! WOO HOO!!!
I did have to chase 2 squirrels off my deck though!! The things even tried hiding behind the planters as I ran out on the deck yelling like a crazy man, they HATE that and usually run off!! Actually they may not 'hate' it so much as get the bejesus scared out of them. But these 2 decided to be like bunny rabbits and just hunker down, until I kicked the planter with my foot, it's hard to hide behind them when the planters are round and only about 12 inches tall and I'm 6 feet tall!! Anyway I kicked the planters with my foot and they ran off, hopefully never to relive that experience again!! I try to raise and wave my arms when I yell at them, thinking all they see is this HUGE THING coming at them making lots of noise and moving quickly, and hopefully they will find someplace safer next time they decide to go exploring!! These 2 squirrels went down the steps several at a time then bypassed several decent sized trees to get to a smaller one, only about 6 inches around, and went up it like they were shot out of a cannon!! These were full grown adult squirrels, but not the fat one I haven't seen in a week now.
The tomato plants are above the top of the planters now for a total height of maybe about 18 inches. This weeks sun and resulting heat should make them jump up several more inches and I will have to put the cages on them soon. I let them grow them upwards and their final height is nearly 7 feet tall, after which they spill out the top of the cages. They are all cherry tomato plants and I can get hundreds from each of the 12 plants, as long as I can keep the squirrels away from them. As they get going I can pick over 50 per day, assuming they get their water and sun every day or so. I do have a rain barrel on my deck for watering them so that makes it easy. I usually eat them as chilled snacks, after picking, washing and then chilling them in the fridge for a few hours. I do eat some right off the plant, those that are VERY ripe and won't keep well, those that are split or are over ripe get thrown into the woods though.
Someone must have pressed the button marked Liam...
Ah well you see, the actual scenario was rather different.
There was this guy locked inside an Aussie post room. He looked at the glass panel in the door from the inside and thought I must be in my own office. Hey I'll press this to open the door.
Unfortunately a herd of cats rushed in .....
To be continued at a later date apparently unspecified ....
Waiting for Godot & salvation :-)
