Time to completion increase instead decrease

The time to completion is an estimate. Einstein can only give an estimate of how long their tasks take as the computer they build these tasks on is different than the ones out there crunching the data. So the time may now go up in your BOINC. Nothing to worry about, BOINC is also learning about the length of tasks.

After a couple of them, you'll see that BOINC will show the time to completion more accurately. Until you get a new dataset and you start over, but that aside.

The S5R3 run that Einstein is now releasing does have long tasks, not as long as their previous run S5R2a had, but still longer than any previous runs. So that's also quite normal.

thanks, but I have seen in

thanks, but I have seen in the task manager that the cpu usage is very low even if it is the only programm running...why it can usa 100% of cpu usage? it is set in the option of the program...but it runs at 10-20% of cpu usage and so work so slowly...is there a software that allows me to modify and increase or decrease the cpu usage of a programm? I want to see Einstain@home fully working at max speed!

By default, the applications

Message 75128 in response to message 75127

By default, the applications running under BOINC work at the lowest possible priority, thereby giving all CPU cycles needed by other programs with higher priorities to those programs.

So your first option is to check where the rest of the CPU cycles go to.

Then, BOINC is capable of throttling the CPU. If you go to your preferences, what is Use at most set to? 100%? If it isn't, edit your preferences to set the CPU throttle there to 100%, then save the changes on the website, go to BOINC Manager, Advanced View, Projects tab, select Einstein@Home, click Update.

This option can also be set through the 5.10 branch of BOINC Manager's Advanced preferences menu.
In that case, check BOINC Manager, Advanced View, Advanced menu, Preferences, Processor Usage, Set at most .. % CPU time. When using these preferences on this PC, you override any settings you saved on the project's website.
