Thanks. It does seem to be some issue with IE buffering.
In IE 8 got to Tools, Internet Options, the General tab, under Browsing History click Settings. Then in the top section under temporary internet files what is checked? If it is 'automatically' or 'every time I visit a page' it shouldn't be doing what it is doing, if it is set to 'never' or 'everytime I start IE' that could be a problem. This is the setting for storing webpages so they load faster, if you have it set to 'never' it will never update the look of the page, also setting it to 'everytime I start IE, you are waiting forever when IE starts to recache all those pages and it could miss some.
