I have 5 machines on my account and 4 work great but my son's notebook shows up in the stats report as a different user and account. I have tried several times to correct this with no result, any ideas?

Since you have only four hosts on your account, your son's notebook is obviously attached (added) to another (new) account.
You'll have to detach it from there and reattach it here. Be careful not to attach as new user when asked.

If your son is using the same version of BOINC as the rest of the family (v7.0.25), the terminology for this operation has changed to 'Remove' and 'Add'.
It's usually regarded as polite to complete and report ('Update') any work that may have been allocated to the old account, before discarding it.
When re-adding the Einstein project, the important factor is the e-mail address for the existing account he attaches to - make sure he uses the exact same email address as the rest of the family.
