Hi,

I've been running E@H 4.79 on BOINC 4.19 since late February, my host ID is 39724 , and I only have one machine.

Last night I experienced a lockup which I'm pretty sure was completely unrelated to the software, and after I'd restarted, I noticed benchmarks were being re-run in the BOINC window. Didn't think anything of it at the time.

What I didn't realize then is that now data's being crunched under a new host ID, 100596 , like it created a new account, but it never prompted me for info and I didn't touch the existing configuration. Unfortunately, I didn't catch this while it was in progress and have restarted again since the incident, so I don't have a log of showing the text of what exactly transpired.

At the time of the lockup, 39724 was running WUID 696034 but apparently that got lost after the switch. If you click on the above link to 39724 and then the top WUID, 696232 , it apparently recognizes that 100596 is this same machine...

I'm confused, lol. How can I fix this? Merge the two, or delete the new one? Or something else?

Thanks in advance.

Correction: clicking the URL to my original host ID does not show that the system recognizes both accounts are my box. However, it does from the link to my user id

Hi Wolverine, Open your

Hi Wolverine,
Open your account,
Click on View Computers
Click on one of them
Near the bottom of the page there should
be a link to merge this computer - click on it.

Some earlier messages said that this creation of
"new" computers was a known defect and this was
the proper way to clear it. You do not get to
choose which computer number is retained, it
is the newest. You do retain the credits
from both computers.

The thing I don't understand about all of this is
that after I did this procedure a few weeks back, the computer total
credit always lags the account total credit and at least
in my case the RAC is higher on the computer listing
than I ever saw on the account listing.

Thanks, I thought that might be the way to go but wasn't sure.
