Maybe you could give a bit more information like computer specs, which OS, at what stage of the install were you when the message occurred, etc? Did anything unusual happen during the original download of 4.25? Have you tried re-downloading in case there was some corruption?

Edit: Just another thought... Are you by any chance trying to install on Win98?

Cheers,
Gary.

I have Windows XP. Right after I downloaded it, it appeared on my desktop and I clicked on it. That's when the error appeared. I originally downloaded the 4.19 but it said corrupt cabinet file when i clicked on it.

OK, so you've downloaded both versions and they both appear to be corrupt. Seems like you may have some sort of problem with the actual download process.

Can you please answer these:-

1. What specific version of WinXP - Home or Pro and what service pack?
2. Have you applied all updates from Microsoft?
3. What precise program and version are you using to download Boinc?
4. How do you connect to the internet (in detail please)?

Thanks.

Cheers,
Gary.
