Since almost a week, I always getting the message:
"Scheduler request failed: Error 403"

Is there anything, I can do?

Scheduler request failed: error 403

A hostid would be helpful to identify the problem.

Or look at your hosts yourself and click on "Last Contact" for the scheduler logs of your host in question.

I made the link active.

What has been changed on your side since 2011-02-04 (firewall, proxy, ISP, ...)?

Bevor this date, i've had a

Bevor this date, i've had a Dual-Core-PC named "Zimmer02_001".

On this day, I changed it to a i7 with 8 Cores.

I renamed the Cual-Core as "Zimmer02_000", and the new i7 took his Place (same name Zimmer02_001).

No other changes were made... (IP = DHCP)

Did you stop getting work, and finish all of the old units, on your dual core before you switched it to the i7? If not you could be running into a security 'feature' where the pc that downloads the work MUST also upload it. But since you changed the inards of the pc it is no longer the same and Boinc could be screaming about a security violation!

Mh, no, I didn't.
I just changed the Names in "full action".

I'm running Seti and Einstein: there was no problem by Seti.

This is fine - you can change hostnames any time you wish. You can also upgrade hardware without affecting tasks in progress and without causing any supposed "security violation".

It's wrong to say that the "PC" can't change. The thing that must remain unchanged is the hostID. This is a BOINC parameter that is not affected by any hardware changes you make. It is stored in your state file (client_state.xml) in your BOINC Data directory. So if you decide to transfer your crunching to a completely different set of hardware, all you would need to do is

  • * Set No New Tasks (NNT) as a precaution against unexpected activity when you restart later
    * Stop BOINC (anytime you like - tasks in progress or not)
    * Uninstall BOINC
    * Transfer the entire BOINC Data directory (and hence the hostID) to the new hardware. If the new hardware is built around the same hard disk, no transferring is necessary.
    * Reinstall BOINC, making sure BOINC uses the transferred Data directory (options in the installer screens)
    * Check everything has restarted correctly and Allow New Tasks when you are happy with things. You may wish to force a new benchmarks run if BOINC didn't do one itself.

Tasks in progress will recommence and extra tasks may start if there are more cores in the new hardware. BOINC's estimates for completion will most likely be out a bit if the new hardware has different performance. BOINC will sort this out itself over time. If you upgrade BOINC as part of the transition, BOINC will do new benchmarks automatically.

In interpreting these instructions, just remember that the hostID must be unique and since that is contained in your state file, you must never duplicate your state file. It's quite OK to transfer but not to duplicate. So never copy the same data directory on to two different machines or else bad things will happen :-).

Cheers,
Gary.

After I did everything like

After I did everything like above, the new work again give a "Scheduler request failed: Error 403".

By Seti@home, everything worked parallel fine. So I will cancel Einstein@home, and choose a project, that is working.

Thanks for the help and bye.
