I've looked through the forums and Wiki for this message, but cannot find it.

Things work fine at home (without a proxy) but I get this message at work (with a proxy). I've included the proxy info in the ADVANCED | OPTIONS tab, but still get the error.

I'm running Boinc Manager 5.4.9 on WinXP Pro sp2.

Scheduler request failed: Error 400

Use BOINC 5.2.13 for now, as 5.4.9 has trouble with proxies. It has this info in the version details:

If you use a proxy server, please hold off upgrading for now. We have a fix in the works for proxies that use NTLM authentication.

So uninstall 5.4.9 for now and install 5.2.13.

Hey Jordan... You seem to know a bit about this... Is this anything to do with the errors I've been having where my machines can't "talk" to project servers for hours on end...

These messages happen to be for Predictor, because that was the last collection on the log, but Einstein, SETI, CPDN & LHC are all having the same problem...

Please help... I'm not a newbie at this stuff, I've just never come across this one before...

Which BOINC version are you running? I can't say I have ever seen that error either. So please report with which version of BOINC you're working and for which Operating System. (Since your computers are hidden, I can't check this myself).

Having said that, one other person had the same problems when using a satellite connection. How do you connect to the internet?

I have been having a problem

I have been having a problem uploading a WU since 3 AM this morning..

The program can update the credits but cannot upload the finished WU or download another......got an error 500???

Server Status is fine, and I can reach the Einstein home page and others but no upload is allowed.

I am still using 5.2.13, Pent 4, SSE3, no HT, 2.8 GHz

I solved the problem. Clicked

I solved the problem. Clicked on the "TRANSFER" tab in BOINC Manager.

Voila!!! there was the file waiting to be transfered.. I never had this happen before. Clicked the "Retry Now" ...it worked, then went back "PROJECTS" Tab, and hit the "Update"....Finally, it went to my "results" file and I was running again.

So, what I had was a file that was finished, but showing "uploading" for about 13 hrs in the "WORK" Tab.

This worked to clear the file, just thought I would pass that along...was getting an ERROR 500???? Oh Well....

v5.4.11 on both boxes now... I connect with to DSL via a LAN... All my machines are hooked up to this... I'm running WinXP SP2 with all the latest hotfixes...

Einstein has an app 4.24 that has reduced my time on the long WU's from 13 hrs to 8 hrs. This is just for Einstein's Folder..

I emailed the developers about this. All they can say is that they have never seen this error before, so they didn't include it. It's possible that it is a problem with libcurl, which makes the http connections. I have sent them your details on BOINC, operating system, internet connection and which projects are affected.

I'll let you know through here what they come up with, when they do, or when they have extra questions.

Exit BOINC.
Navigate to your \\BOINC\\ folder.
Make with Notepad a file called cc_config.xml (if not already available, else open it).

It should look like this:

If you have a cc_config.xml file then check if you have the http_debug flag set to 1, as in the above example. (Else copy the above and paste it in Notepad, then save it as cc_config.xml and make sure the .txt extension isn't added.)

Then restart BOINC.

Now wait for the error messages again.

If you want to add your own email address in it (top, bottom), then that is fine. The the developers will contact you, I'll make sure of that.
