I have a question. I have a computer that is joined in multiple projects. They all have an equal resource share. Currently, even with the short deadlines I am able to complete an Einstein workunit within 1 day of the deadline. I have my connect to server set on .1 days so as not to cache many workunits. When a workunit gets almost complete it contacts the scheduler and downloads the new workunit. Soon after the original workunit completes 100% and uploads it's data but stays in the boinc window at 100% and doesn't show as reported in under my account. The problem is that it doesn't contact the scheduler again until the next workunit is almost completed. I believe this will result in it saying that I am past the deadline even though I had uploaded the data to the server. Any ideas? I can manually go in and update the project but I simply cannot do that everytime. Can I run the service on a windows machine with the -report_result_immediately flag? This I think would resolve the issue.

well I tried changing the service to C:Program FilesBOINCboinc_cli.exe -win_service -return_results_immediately but it seems to ignore everything after -win_service. Anyone have any ideas? If I use the gui with the -return_results_immediately it works.
hrmm for some reason it takes out the backslashes in the post.. ah well..

There is no need to use the -return_r.. flag. BOINC will automatically do a scheduler RPC if the deadline is less than 24 hours away or when you need more work.

Thats not necessarily so JKeck, I was running Predictor & Einstein yesterday on all my computers and when I came home from work all the Predictor WU's were finished and just sitting there yet in a "Ready to Report" State. I had to manually update each computer to get more work from Predictor. I had each Project set to 100 so they would run 50% each ... I'm using v4.66 on all the Computers, I don't know if that may have had any thing to do with it ... ???
Also the -return_results_immediately flag won't work with the v4.66, it won't accept the parameters when trying to start BOINC up ...
