Will there be any WUs with lower memory requirements available in the foreseeable future? S5GC1 is currently taking more memory than I can spare. I only have 512MB RAM, and just having Avira and Firefox running takes me over that, alas.

I suppose it comes down to

I suppose it comes down to how much tolerance one has for hard drive thrashing on a workstation PC. I probably spent too much time using Win 9x boxes (and getting too many "low memory" warnings). Anyway, the problem is averted for now - I have set the memory usage to 25% (128MB), and the server has found me another ABP WU. Danke schön, Herr Computer :-)

Einstein is taking me 264

Einstein is taking me 264 MB.Another BOINC task is taking 425 MB. But most of my 5 GB RAM with Linux 32-bit pae is used as disk cache and disk buffers (frankly I don't know the difference between those two). But I still have 33% free.
