In Linux if the application 4.17 runs in "no graphics
mode" (because no GL library) you seem to get no worker timer. Therefore no checkpoints are written and
CPU time is always 0.
stderr says:
set_worker_timer(): pthread_create(): 122006-10-06 14:30:43.5709 [CRITICAL]: graphics_lib_handle NULL: running without graphics
Isn't there a method to run without graphics and have
a timer?

Forget this. It was a problem with the C-Library
