I have an Intel Core Q6600 @ 2.4GHz system with 3GB RAM and an Nvidia GeForce 8500 GT running with Vista w/SP1. Whenever the graphical sphere screen saver appears, the rotation is very jumpy. It wasn't always like that...it used to be smooth...not sure what's different. Tried disabling/uninstalling McAfee with no success. Also tried uninstalling and re-installing BOINC...again, no success. I disabled all running programs...with no success. Has anyone experience this? I also have SETI and Climateprediction and those graphics appear to be working fine. Would appreciate any suggestions/help. Thanks in advance.

I often see that when the screensaver first starts, after a minute or so it smoothes out.
I also see it on my less capable machines, but that should not be the problem with that system.
Version 5 clients do not display graphics on vista reliably, it should be better when version 6 is released in general. Hopefully that will fix your issue too if you are using a version 5 client.
