The sky was blue, the sun was brightly shining, the anemometer read 100 as did the thermometer
For some strange reason I thought this thread would contain poultry.
Thats funny because I thought it had something to do with breakfast.
The story so far:
I was quietly checking the instrumentation when in popped Charles Dickens looking for a Christmas Goose. Edwin Drood followed closely wanting breakfast. Could The Woman In White be far behind?
Hang on just a minute..............
you said 'The sky was blue, the sun was brightly shining, the anemometer read 100 as did the thermometer.'
I can understand why the thermometer was reading 100 (the sky was blue and the sun was shining) but why was the anemometer doing a reasonable imitation of a helicopter? You seemed to be in control of the situation - checking the instrumentation - when all of a sudden this crowd of Victorians appear! Why don't you just tell them to clear off for a bit while we get the instrumentation sorted out?
It doesn't suprise me...if we cant't find a word, and I'm supposed to be a Cylon, Victorians in anemometer powerd helicopters isn't all that strange...
OK..back to the main feature of the evening....

Before the question could be answered, Sherlock Holmes made a dramatic entrance with The Crooked Man, who had been suffering of late with his Blue Carbuncle, he shuffled painfully to a vacant seat.
As he placed his weary bones on the chair he looked across to see....
What a colourful gathering, but, wait, is that not the Lady in Red with the hood up over her head and her bonnet up as well, he stuttered, repeating himself?
The next visitors suggested a different identity for the lady - they were a timberwolf and a lumberjack. However, the wolf appeared to be tame. He sat at Little Red Riding Hood's feet (for it was indeed she), gazing up at her adoringly.
