Starting boinc_gui I'm wondering why the remaining time increases over time (elapsed time too - but that's expected).
If I finish that gui and start it later the "Remaining time" is much lower than before but increases.

BTW I'm running the einstein@home app at a noteboook which is often suspended/resumed but this shouldn't produce such an issue, isn't it ?

Sounds pretty much like this problem and yes, hibernation does seem to make a difference for that.

No it's not that particular thread as the person who raised the issue there also ruled out hibernation. The thread that identifies the problem with hibernation is this one and the full answer is in the messages from Richard Haselgrove (you need to read several starting with this one) who prompted David Anderson to properly apply the 'band aid' that hopefully will work around the fact that BOINC now uses wall clock time rather than CPU time to keep track of how long BOINC has been active on the host and how the DCF needs to change. Hopefully this is resolved in future versions of BOINC, as indicated in Richard's final message in the thread. Thanks are due to Richard for spotting the problem with the 'band aid' and prompting a better fix to be applied.

Cheers,
Gary.
