Recently put a P4 Quad cpu online, 5.8.8, Win2K PRO, set preferences to use 4 cpu's.

It still is only running 2WU's at a time, did I forget to do something? Or am I just S.O.L. until a version of Einstein comes out for running the Quad cpu's?

Quad CPU Workunits???

You need to update the client with the project you set the preference on. Or just wait and it will pick up the new settings eventually.

If I'm not mistaken I believe

If I'm not mistaken I believe Win2K PRO will only support 2 CPU's. I think you'll have to upgrade to XP to get Quad support.

Open Windows Task Manager and

Open Windows Task Manager and see how many CPU graphs are displayed on the 'performance' tab.

Thanks for the info, opened Task Manager and it only showed 2 graph windows for cpu usage history. I will reformat and load with XP when I get a chance.

Thanks Again. :^)

Just wanted to let you know that I reformatted and installed WinXP PRO, with 5.8.8, and the Task Manager now shows 4 graphs for CPU usage history and 5.8.8 has downloaded and running 4 WU's.

Thanks for you knowledge and your patience :^)
