Because the work that is being done by the recent CUDA version of Einstein@home requires both the graphics card and a CPU core, running this project reduces the total amount of BOINC work that can be performed on a particular computer. If it is not possible to reduce Einstein@home’s CPU use, why not consider upping the credit that is granted from 40 to 400? This step would place Einstein@home in the same league as Cosmology@home (which had to up its credit last year) and GPUGrid. Such a step would be especially appreciated by those Einstein@home participants who like to run other projects but are confronted by constraints on budget and/or available electrical circuits for addition computers.

I don't agree. This would nourish credit-inflation.
