Well, graphics in BOINC under Vista is an open issue, it works for some and doesn't for others. Updating your graphics drivers would be a first step to try to resolve this.
Having said that, the screensaver is really no essential part of Einstein@Home, that is you can contribute to the project and help to search for gravitational waves without using that screensaver. The computational work is done by another thread that runs silently on your computer whenever the CPU has nothing to do (it uses idle cycles), irrespective of whether the screen saver is active or not.
I'm not sayong the E@H screen saver isn't nice to look at, it's just that it is not essential for the science.
In the mean time, you're returning only errors on the Vista machine.
Both exit code 1073807364 (0x40010004) and exit code -1073741510 (0xc000013a).
Both of them can be attributed to you closing down or rebooting Vista, without allowing enough time for BOINC to shut down properly.
