Following are messages from the BOINC 5.10.28 GUI My trouble assist request will follow the messages please. (Please read all before trying to reply to make a proper reply, and fix the problems herein noted) : THIS ITEM I WILL NOW ADD HERE IS AN AMENDMENT TO MY POST THAT WILL FOLLOW DIRECTLY AFTER MY ADDITION HERE:
AMENDMENT STARTS HERE:
After careful thought, I have decided to set BOINC to NOT RECEIVE MORE WORK for my projects. Then do a clean install of BOINC5.10.30. after my present WU's complete, hoping this will fix the problem, as there might not be another way to fix the problems noted beyond this point. I will read my posts before doing the clean install in case you tell me another way to fix the problem, or you tell me this won't fix the problem. Thank You.
AMENDMENT ENDS HERE:

Part 1 - The BOINC GUI Messages:

Part 2 my problems with the BOINC GUI 5.10.28 & 5.10.30: I ran the installer for the 5.10.30 GUI. It looked as it was installed, as the About page noted 5.10.30 as the running program, but after rebooting the computer BOINC 5.10.28 was back, as by the About BOINC page in the GUI. Also I noted the GUI, when set to SNOOZE doesn't SNOOZE. I notice no change in system operation after setting SNOOZE. When I tell my computer to go into low power mode and leave BOINC running with the settings I've set the BOINC should continue work in the system LOW POWER MODE. NOPE! This does not happen, as when I take the computer out of LOW POWER MODE several hours later the BOINC shows no further work processed, whit the exception of the BOINC continuing work after my bringing the computer out of LOW POWER MODE. There is also another problem with the new GUI, as noted VIA the messages above and here in brackets (doesn't work with the screen saver):
Please find as what is causing these problems so I can get on with my work. The BOINC not SNOOZING when I set it to do so is using system resources needed at that time to do other needed tasks that can't be completed because BOINC doesn't actually SNOOZE as set. Thanks in advance for your assist in fixing BOINC.

Your issue seems to lie with BOINC and Einstein@Home. This is the SETI@Home Q&A board. The BOINC Development boards are located here. They may be able to help you better with your issue.

Correction, you originally posted that at the Seti Q&A forums, sub-forum Windows, not on the BOINC Dev forums (which Ozzfan, moderator at Seti, pointed you to as well).

As for an answer for your part 2: Use Add/Remove to uninstall BOINC before you install a newer version. Also make sure you install BOINC at all times to the same directory. That makes sure that all files are correctly removed and rewritten.
