    Einstein should be able to dial-out by itself but I have
    to ping my isp in order for the connection to go thru.
    Is there any setting in einstein that I need to make
    in order for the connection to be automatic?

      Which version of BOINC are you using? If not 4.25, please install that, and report back. 4.19 had more bugs with dialup than 4.25 is supposed to have.

      There are a couple of settings on your account page on this website (or any project web site) that control behavour with a modem.
