Switched one of my rigs from fedora to ubuntu 8.04 desktop 64bit and installed boinc 5.10.45. Other projects are crunching fine (Rosetta, Poem & WCG) but every E@H wu I get I error out with this:
5.10.45
process exited with code 255 (0xff, -1)

Anybody got any ideas?

Did you install the beta apps? I had this problem with the SSE2 power user app. Turns out the app wasn't executable. Go figure, an executable needs to actually have the x in the permissions...

I had the same problem on Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy Heron (32bits) a few days ago.

As KSMarks said, probably a permissions problem.
God created a few good looking guys.. and for the rest he put hairs on top..
