Occaisionally when my laptop goes into the screensaver and eventually it goes blank on purpose, Ill move the mouse later on and a minimized BOINC manager has appeared on the task bar. I can restore and minimize it but never close it. It also doesnt seem to have the most up to date status although it seems to function. Anyhow, the workaround is to go to the tray and open BOINC manager and it takes the place of the phantom and its up to date and closes. So there's no real problem here, but I thought I'd see if someone had a fix or maybe others would chime in and say I see that too.

Phantom Boinc Manager
)
I have never seen that but don't use the screensaver either as I crunch Boinc units. Using the screensaver takes cpu cycles away from Boinc, so if you set the screen to just go blank Boinc will get more cycles and you will crunch faster.
