I have noticed that I have many credits pending that are never credited since eventually they disappear from my results without being ever credited. Why is this happening?

Results that are pending DO NOT get deleted from your results list. As they get older, it is likely that when they do eventually get validated (and the pending credit gets turned into awarded credit) they will then disappear relatively quickly from the list after only a day or two extra from the time when credit was awarded. You are probably not examining your results list closely enough to observe this happening.
If you pick out your current pendings and reobserve them say twice a day until credit is granted, you will see them be awarded the credit and then disappear from the list soon afterwards.
Try clicking on the WUID of each pending which will show you the other computers that are also crunching the same task. By following the links you should be able to get a good idea if/when your "wingman" is likely to report back so that validation can occur and credit can be granted.
THANKS FOR THE INFORMATION. AS YOU MENTION I DO NOT CHECK ALL THE TIME WHAT MY COMPUTER IS DOING REGARDING CREDITS. I ONLY NOTICED THAT SOMETIMES THE PENDING CREDITS GO DOWN THE LIST AND DISSAPEAR. NOT A BIG DEAL, I JUST WANTED TO UNDERSTAND WHY.
REGARDS!
