Greetings All- Looked thru some of the threads and didn't notice this addressed -perhaps afew of you have already covered this and it's moot. My diskspace of Einstein is slowly climbing -just under 100meg right now, so it's no really big deal at the moment- but in looking into the \\einstein folder I'm noticing the {leftover?} WUs from upto two months ago that aren't being deleted, that I thought had already been finished. I noticed in the Manager messages just afew hours ago: "|Einstein@Home|Got server request to delete file h1_0295.50_S5R2", plus .55, .60, .65 -but these have not been deleted. Wondering if this could be a bug in the client (5.4.11), or if their server is having me "hang on" to the WUs up to, or past for some reason, the time that credit is granted? Danke schön for all insights, and hope I'm not idiotically repeating something that's already been addressed.

Hi!

These files are NOT workunits but datafiles that are shared across several workunits. Deleting them will probably result in BOINC automatically reloading them. The server remembers it had sent those files to you before and will schedule workunits to your host based on the assumption they are still there.

Once the server thinks you no longer need those files, it will advise your BOINC prgramm to delete it.
