I haven't seen new work tasks since Dec 04, 2012. The status page consistently indicates mos work generators and a few others such as file deleters as being in yellow status. Am I alone in seeing this?

Yes. ;-)

Your problem is not enough disk space on your computer:

You posted the same complaint yesterday. Two of the Devs replied, one pointing out that you had a lack of disk space which was causing you to not receive work, and the other explaining that certain work generators only run when needed.

When you ask questions or report what you think is a problem, it's a good idea to check for answers rather than firing off essentially the same complaint in an entirely new message in a different forum.

To solve your problem on getting new work, you need to have a good hard look at what you have set for your disk use preferences. With the end of the current GW run just around the corner, you may need to allocate even more space in case you start getting resends for different frequency bands as tasks for the band(s) you have been crunching start to dry up.

Cheers,
Gary.

I didn't know I was firing

I didn't know I was firing off "complaints". I've been with Einstein for a while and until now have been able to keep it running with no help. This time I couldn't find anything in the forums and I didn't even see my first post appear, so I tried again. I eventually figured out why I wasn't getting tasks. Only now am I aware both postings are on the forum and I got DEV replies.

About the disk problem, I studied the event log but it giving me contradictory information like "YOU must free -0.00MB disk space..." I knew the -0.00MB was erroneous but even when I deleted stale file nothing happened. Only when I deleted more did it work. Now I know I need to do more cleaning up, a good practice regardless, thanks.
