Hierarchical all-sky pulsar...

Sun Jun 24 08:35:47 2007|Einstein@Home|Starting task h1_0432.95_S5R2__122_S5R2c_1 using einstein_S5R2 version 419

I don't see any Einstein graphics. Select task, click "Show graphics" button, but no graphics window appears.

Is that good - or bad?

Running Mac OS X 10.4.9 on 1.66 GHz Intel Core Duo with 1 GB of RAM

I did a keyword search, but I didn't find the answer here ...

Not seeing the graphics? Hierarchical all-sky pulsar...

Something I have never seen before. That Einstein work unit (same one I just posted about) is statused as "Waiting to run". But I've got an Einstein graphics window with active graphics going on inside of it (not sure how that window was opened). And it looks like the Einstein process is getting some small amount of CPU on my Activity Monitor display.

What I see in the Einstein graphics window is that the local time display in the upper right corner is updating and the "stars" are rotating. I don't think that the "Percent done" field in the lower right corner is updating - think that field is static.

At the same time I have two other BOINC work units running and gettiing very high CPU - one is a "Rosetta", the other one is a "Ralph" (Rosetta beta). And I have opened graphics windows for these two, so now I have three graphics windows going at one time - a Rosetta, a Ralph and an Einstein.

I've never seen this before.

OK - I don't think that Einstein window that I had up here is anything to be concerned about. I just closed it. When I select the Einstein task (Waiting to run) it does not activate the "Show graphics" button on the left sidebar of the BOINC display. Makes sense. But I would like to remark (as I posted previously) that the Einstein graphics window did not appear when I expected it to appear, when the Einstein work unit was statused as Running.

?
