ClimatePrediction is the only one getting work and it completed a 400 hour project and the other never got any time. My Debt is:
CP no std ltd=-654041.651657
E@H no std ltd=129093.674719
MC no std ltd=328668.026609
WCG no std ltd=196279.950329

Well, that negative # for climateprediction is probably a clue! Should I clear my debts?

As I understand it a negative value in the debts means that it owes to other projects. At the moment you have a little under 200 hours of debt for CPN so it must have started that 400 hour task with a huge debt. I suspect that with 5.4.11 you are in EDF mode because BOINC thinks that you will not complete the current CPN task in time. If I remember the 5.4.11 scheduler correctly it will run down the CPN task until

estimated time to completion . . . . . . . . . . + connection interval + 1 day
fraction Computer on X fraction BOINC on

is less than the deadline.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong, Dave

It was pointed out to me that

It was pointed out to me that ClimatePrediction was kind of aggressive about getting its share of time and my giving it a 40% share just encouraged it (grin) so I reversed the numbers (giving it 100 and everyone else 200)and now everyone else has downloaded work and CP will be forced to work off that negative.

Thanks all,

Thanks all,

Glad to hear that you got it to download. You might think about upgrading to a more recent version of BOINC now that you have more than one project running. It will wait for a check point before switching projects and so lose less work on projects with widely spaced checkpoints. Dave

The mods can lock the thread but there is little point. The next person who has a similar problem can read your solution and, if it doesn't work for them, add another post. Be sure to back up and check the CPN boards before updating as some of their models can be a bit delicate. Happy crunching, Dave.
