Not receiving CPU Tasks

    Afternoon everyone,

    For several days now, I've noticed that I'm not receiving any CPU tasks. I am receiving and crunching GPU tasks, however. Is there something going on that I'm missing? The server status page shows that everything is up and running. Can anyone provide some perspective?

      I checked (using the last contact link) the first two hosts listed under your account.  For the most recent requests made at the time I looked, neither of them was requesting CPU work - the log entry showed:-

      ... [send] CPU: req 0.00 sec, 0.00 instances; est delay 0.00

      Are you sure your preference settings still allow requesting of CPU work?

        Gary,

        Thanks for the reply. None of my settings have changed and I'm still set to receive CPU work. This only just started with me receiving only GPU tasks.

        The log kept indicating that my machine had too many runnable tasks, so I paused receiving new work thinking that I could burn through some GPU tasks and maybe the project would start sending CPU tasks again. No luck, though.

        I'm still a bit confused. I just assumed that the project wasn't generating CPU tasks for some reason.

          Ironslug, by chance have you ceased your Boinc Manager and relaunched it after a minute?  Or better yet, rebooted your PC?   Have you added any other CPU tasks?  Did you change your host ID?  All of your computers read this...

          Or did you uncheck your "Do you consent to exporting your data to BOINC statistics aggregation websites?: "

          Select YES instead of NO

            I also rarely get CPU tasks but a few come thru.  The log says "Not requesting tasks: don't need (CPU: blocked by project preferences; NVIDIA GPU: ) "  I have no idea what this means. P.S.  this is for computer Norite

              Could you give us your Computer I.D. #?  Instead of a name?  We can't see the name of your computers, only you can.
