My client reported its last Einstein workunit two days ago and has not received any new work. Also running SETI and have no problem there. Have tried resetting and updating, but neither has produced results.

Not getting new work.

Without a lot more information, it's pretty much impossible to guess between the many different reasons why what you are seeing could very well be entirely normal and expected. Your computers are hidden so we can't even check there to get some basic info about your setup.

You could try reading through this recent thread for example to see if any of the points raised there may be applicable to your setup. This question comes up quite regularly so you should be able to find several threads where the possible reasons have already been covered.

One final point. Resetting the project is quite a drastic action that is rarely needed. You throw away all current work and executables and download afresh. This will never succeed if BOINC has simply determined that it's not appropriate (for whatever reason) for your machine to get any more work for that particular project at the moment. If you want to solve the problem you will need to understand why BOINC has made that particular determination.

Cheers,
Gary.

Read all about the Work

Read all about the Work scheduler

You'll get a oral review done by Gary on Monday.

Gary is snarky and supercilious? Um, look in the mirror. You want help and you chastise the helper. Who would want to help you after that tirade.

Hi Folks: I'm in the same boat - the last packet I had time-expired itself - I couldn't complete the work unit in time. Now nothing seems to download.
