Not getting any new work
)
Your hardware chugs out a lot of client errors on Einstein units. For every work unit returned as a Client Error, you get deducted one work unit out of your amount allowed to download per day. You start at 8/day (per CPU), you are now at 1/day (per CPU). Hence the error message: Message from server: (reached daily quota of 1 results)
Of all of the units you got, you managed to run one with success. The others have error messages go from Access Violation (0xc0000005) to Privileged Instruction (0xc0000096) and are all Unhandled Exceptions. In BOINC these are what you would call STOP Errors in Windows.
Common causes of these errors can be:
* Over stressed hardware, usually by heat.
* Flaky, or bad device drivers.
* An actual problem (Bug) in the BOINC Client Software, Science Application, or Operating System.
* A bad Work Unit (usually a rare occurrence).
I think we can scratch off number 4.
So the questions are:
Do you overclock? If you do, have you tried to run at stock clock settings?
Did you update all your drivers?
Do you run the Beta Einstein software if you want to see graphics/screensaver?
Do you have any problems with other projects?
Or with Windows?

Sir, in checking your computer listing, it shows that your machine downloaded a WU just 11 hours ago and another WU 23 hours prior to that. Does your summary not agree? Also, it shows that of the 14 WUs downloaded in the past 10 days, only 1 was successfully validated, the remainder showing client errors, either in downloading or computing. Looks as if something more serious than not getting work is happening there.
OOPS!! hadn't noticed that Jord had picked up the thread while I composed a post. Now Stick, too? Let me extract foot from mouth and bow out here - you are in good hands.

Most of the work units you have processed have recently been rejected due to "Client errors" - indicative of another problem. One possibility is a "graphics" bug related to running Einstein 4.79 with BOINC 4.45. If you are using the BOINC screensaver or the "Show graphics" option under the BOINC "Work" tab, the graphics bug could be the reason. If so, the Beta Application is likely to fix it (see the link under More Information on the E@H home page). Once you return some successful results, your daily quota should adjust and allow you to receive work when you need it.

Thank you for the insight. I am using BOINC MANAGER version 4.45.I am not overclocking, and my computer works perfectly otherwise. I have no issues except this one. Could the fact that I'm also running SETI@HOME have anything to do with this? I do not have a 24/7 internet connection. It is ISDN dial-up....Could THAT affect EISTEN@HOME somehow?
Could Antivirus/Firewall software play a role?
Thanks

If Seti is working OK (and my guess is that it is), then your concerns about your ISDN connection being the problem can be eliminated. That is, it is BOINC that handles your connection to the internet and if it works for Seti, then it should work for Einstein. Same goes for the firewall/virus question. You didn't indicate whether you use the BOINC screensaver or "Show graphics" option, but, the "Client errors" you are getting are a symptom of the BOINC 4.45/Einstein 4.79 graphics bug. I would again suggest that you try the Beta Application.

I'm currently running a dual processor PIII system on BOINC 4.45. I've had downloading issues for the last several days which I understand are because I'm on a level 3 network, Roadrunner. During the download issue, both Seti@home and Einstein@home were requesting new work units. Now that I'm able to download and upload work units, Seti has uploaded and downloaded its needed units. Einstein uploaded it's units, but won't download any. I was using the einstein client 4.79 and just went to the test version .018. I'm receiving the following messages during the connection:

This occurs over and over. The same message was being returned with the 4.79 client, except the anonymous platform line stated 4.79.

The messages indicate the Beta App is installed and ready to go. My guess is the reason you are not getting any work right now is that Einstein worked "more than its allocated "percentage" while you weren't able to connect to Seti. That is, BOINC is trying to even things out, now that you can work on Seti again. It should fix itself after it has run enough Seti to catch up. However, if you want to confirm this, trying suspending Seti momentarily, and see if BOINC downloads a work unit.
