I used to do einstein then switched back to seti now going to add einstien back but after trying to update einstien, it keeps reporting "Not enough disk space (only 81.3 MB free for BOINC). Review preferences for maximum disk space used."

I have tried changing all the disc usage parameters but keep getting the same error. Any ideas?

These are my disc usage parameters now. However, I have tried altering them to extreems in both directions without any change to the disc space error. Seti has no problems although I can't connect to their server at the moment.

Use no more than 15 GB disk space
Leave at least
(Values smaller than 0.001 are ignored) 0.1 GB disk space free
Use no more than 50% of total disk space
Write to disk at most every 60 seconds
Use no more than 75% of total virtual memory

Glen, assuming that you have plenty of free space on the disc/partition that you are using for BOINC then there are a couple of simple things that are sometimes forgotten. You did hit the update button after changing your preferences on the web page so that BOINC picks up the changes? Also I see that you are using 5.8.16. I take it that you have checked in simple view that you don’t have a very low value set on your preferences tab there. This will override the web preferences if set. Dave.

The problem was in the simple view. I didn't realise there was another parameter there.
