after I joined in Aug I processed so many WU's in 6 weeks that I went up over 6000 WU/avg. Now I haven't gotten any but a small group of 20 about 10 days ago.

If their something wrong? Or is their no work right now?

James

ps as an example I have fallen all the way from 6000 to now I have just gone under 3000.

no WU;s coming thru

According to your computer's last request on 19 Oct 2012 3:42:28 UTC it's not requesting work:

2012-10-19 03:42:28.9702 [PID=23388] [send] CPU: req 0.00 sec, 0.00 instances; est delay 0.00
2012-10-19 03:42:28.9702 [PID=23388] [send] CUDA: req 0.00 sec, 0.00 instances; est delay 0.00

So, probably BOINC is 'paying back debt' to your other projects.

Gundolf

Interstel, are you running

Interstel, are you running any other Boinc projects on that host right now?

Because it should get all the tasks you want according to the settings on your Boinc Manager AND the settings for your Preferences for this project- Einstein@Home preferences

Well initially the BOINC

Well initially the BOINC program which had been churning out SETI WU's like crazy for years I finally added some other projects. Then what happened was over the course of 5 weeks after I added them the Einstein project seemed to have taken over the whole queueing process. It didnt matter what I set the resource shares at or anything it just kept doing more and more and more Einstein projects and my SETI average fell from 4200 to 350. The based upon some advice in the SETI group I temporarily for about 10 days set the Einstein Project to not accept new work so that I could get SETI WU's in because according to the SETI people the timing of SETI availability causes it to now fill up the queue aggressively. So I built up a good SETI backlog like I used to have and then turned back on the Einstein to accept WU's but that was over 10 days ago and now basically I'm watching the reverse happen to Einstein that happened to SETI.

Strangely the WU's for the other projects come in on a regular basis and share in the total work load its as if there is a resource war going on between SETI and Einstein.

If you say its not requesting I'll try turning it off and then back on again and see if that clears it.

James

I'm still not getting any

I'm still not getting any Einstein WU and I've fallen all the way down to 1770 avg from 6000. Its like the reverse of what happened when I added projects to my SETI. The SETI went from 4400 avg and rather than falling to median average amongst the projects I'm in it fell all the way down to 300 while Einstein climbed to 6000 and the other projects all stayed under 700. I took someone's advice and temporarily set the Einstein to accept no work so that I could build up SETI WU's and then turned it back on. But no matter how many times I update or click on accept work and then update I am no longer getting work. And I have restarted. According to my log I have this in it right now....

I think you need to set your

I think you need to set your Seti to not receive any more new tasks since you have 91 on that host right now so it has no time to finish all of those and run Einsteins.

You could try to suspend Seti and then see if it will get any Einstein tasks but I would just stop getting new Seti tasks and finish the 91 tasks you have.

Some of those take your host a long time to finish (astropulse)

I stopped running Seti several years ago but have no problem running the Einstein cuda,T4T's,and LHC's at the same time.

Actually I stopped getting

Actually I stopped getting Astropulses completely 22 days after starting Einstein and those 22 days represented the rapid decline in getting any SETI WU's thats how I went from a 4400 avg SETI to 300 in only 8 weeks and Einstein went from 0 to 6000. So I stopped Einstein to get some SETI WU's and I have climbed back to just under 1000.

I process the non-astropulses very fast as I have dual cpu, dual core with hyperthreading so I have 8 CPU's with 6 dedicated to BOINC, 1/2 the physical memory or 8 gigs and 1/2 the swap memory or 16 gigs.

I'll suspend SETI and see if Einsteins start coming in but right now the 91 SETI's I'm working are are for December I'm that far ahead so thats why I dont understand why no Einstein WU's are coming in.

I just checked the last task

I just checked the last task I was sent by Einstein was Sept 24 which I reported back a couple of days after that. So I haven't gotten one in 4 weeks. I have suspended SETI.

Is there a file I can delete in BOINC directory that associated with Einstein that will cause it to reset? I mean I have updated my preferences and forced my machine to update from that so that they are current.

Does this mean anything interpretable?

There are no jobs available from Asteroids or Orbit and I only get a small number from LHC, Cosmology and Milkyway a few more. But my Einstein avg just keeps falling and falling of no work.

Please, rather than just

Please, rather than just repeating yourself, set and see/post about what your computer is asking for.

As Gundolf said in reply to your very first post, back on 19 October your computer wasn't even asking for work - so of course it didn't get any.

A few questions: When you are

A few questions:
When you are in BOINC Manager and you click on Project, Einstein do you have anything that says:
Resume or Allow New Tasks?
If so, please change them to Suspend and No New Tasks.

What are your resource shares for the projects?

It currently says "Suspend" and "No New Tasks" I even had tried setting it to not get work and then resetting it to get work with no results.

I had left every at 100 for each project because I was informed after I tried artificially manipulating the values for the resource shares that BOINC was using that.

I will set the debug setting.
