It's interesting -- I can see that your hosts are contacting the scheduler but apparently not getting sent work. Are there any messages suggesting why not?

No messages other than succeeding to contact the Server Bruce.

Let me try something here, I reconnected to Pirates at home yesterday and set the Resource share quite high for Pirates, I just thought of that and it seems thats when I stopped getting any work units ...

OK, tell me if that helps. If not, I can turn on some debugging at the server end here.

Bruce, I just detached from

Bruce, I just detached from Pirates, the Sites just a nuisance anyway because it hardly ever gives out any work and my computers are trying to get work from it 400 times a day ... hehe

Once I did that and updated Einstein all my PC's got more work, enough to last 3-4 days anyway ... Kewl ;)

Sorry to introduce. Everytime

Sorry to introduce.
Everytime I worked for the pirates; after that I had over a week problems with the Core Client to run idle (or smooth) again.
IMO: For that expierience it isn't worth to work for the pirates!!!

This is because resource shares also influence the amount of work BOINC requests from the scheduler. If you set Pirates at an extremely high resource share, all other projects will request considerably less WUs unless you boost the "connect every" value. And conversely, Pirates will ask for quite a lot of work.

Also this "not working graphic problem" I get ,since I worked there, is result of working with them. It is only on one box and only EAH-WU's (and formerly "compass"-WU's from PIR) don't show graphics, all other project I can show the graphics with the CC 4.63.

(with CC 4.19 there is no problem to show graphics, but you can't manage the projects with this CC (suspend, etc)).
(I will end here before I beginn to talk about those stupid application at X-mas (Dez.25.04) from PIR *still very angry about this*)

Bruce or Eric can correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that the "stupid application at X-mas" is what helped make the Einstein@home WU downloads smaller. It was a test of downloading some data onto your hardrive that new WU's could then utilize without having to re-download the entire data set, just the new variables for the new WU. Granted it had bugs the first run through, but that is what beta testing is all about!

Don't forget, Pirates is the test bed for some of the Einstein changes/upgrades!
