Hi all,
I have 2 computers that work for Einstein@Home. And last time I see in the logs a lot of messages like "No work sent. Reached daily quota of 8 (or 24) tasks". Is it normal? How to can I increment my quota?

You'll have to find out why (almost) all tasks on this host error out with
(3216) [normal]: Reading input data ... Memeory reallocation for SFTs failed: nSFT:187001, length:187000, add:100Perhaps it's related to the memory problems Siran d'Vel'nahr mentioned in this thread, though you're already running a 64bit OS. What's your setting on that host for

Boinc, the Server side of it, is set to recognize when a host is not crunching units to completion and asking for credits as it should, your pc is having problems with the units and therefore the Server is reducing the total number of workunits you can get until you start returning valid ones again. This prevents one or two hosts from downloading and trashing hundreds or even thousands of workunits thereby increasing the workload on the Server by having to resend all of them back out to another pc. Once you figure out what is causing your errors, and fix it, your pc will start returning valid units again and your quota will automatically go back up to its full amount. For every valid unit you return your quota will go up by 2, so your quota will return to normal quickly, ie 2 today, 4 tomorrow, 8 the next day, then 16, 32, 64, etc, etc.

I'm a new user who is also having this problem. I have a quad-core with 8GB or RAM and a 500 GB HD running under 64-bit Ubuntu. I have no problem getting work from Cosmology and Milky Way but can't get anything from Einstein.
At first, I thought that they might be hogging the machine since they certainly get right in there and download not only WUs to work on immediately but also 4 for the queue. However, I've had them shut down for 2 days with "accept no new work" and still nothing from Einstein.
Right now, my system is running no jobs at all for anyone.
Here are the last messages from Einstein.
Message from server: No work sent
Message from server: (reached daily quota of 4 tasks)
Message from server: Project has no jobs available.
As far as I can tell from the website, Einstein is up.
I've been getting these messages for 2 weeks now. As far as I can tell, I have the preferences set the same as for Cosmology and Milky Way and they go like gang-busters.

You've got your computer hidden, so we cannot check what's up with it. Whenever you have a low quota reached message, it means that your computer is returning only erroneous work. You can check in the task IDs what's going on.
Or you can give a link to any of your tasks and let us check it out.

Although my computer is connected to a router, I haven't done anything to "hide" it. I'm not running any firewall programs.
I did assign it a static IP address. That's about as daring as I get.
What can I do to make it visible to you?

Edit the Einstein project preferences, change "Should Einstein@Home show your computers on its web site?" from no to yes, save changes to the web site with the "update preferences" button at the bottom of that page.
It'll then take anywhere from an hour to a day --depending on how long Einstein caches its pages-- for your computer to show up and be visible to us.

It looks like you have no permission to run BOINC from the directory it is in.
All your ABP2s run on the GPU and the GCs on the CPU show the same error:
process exited with code 2 (0x2, -254)
sched_setscheduler: Operation not permitted
execv: No such file or directory
So then the question becomes, where did you get BOINC from and how did you set it up?

I installed BOINC from the Ubuntu repository. You select it and it installs automatically. But then why are Cosmology and Milky Way running fine?
I'll see if I can change the permissions. Back in a minute.
Is there something I should have installed for Einstein beyond just attaching to the project?
