Hi,

My computer sometimes changes the date to a future one. Everytime I correct this mistake, the running WUs have to be cancelled because they don't continue working.

Now I was resetting the whole E@H project, changed the preferences to the ones before the reset (expect for the cache which I increased from .25 to 10 days)

But with or without an increased cache the cleitn doesn't ask for new tasks.

Atm the message board looks this way:
14.06.2011 20:24:36 Einstein@Home Resetting project
14.06.2011 20:24:36 Einstein@Home Detaching from project
14.06.2011 20:25:26 Fetching configuration file from http://einstein.phys.uwm.edu/get_project_config.php
14.06.2011 20:39:44 No general preferences found - using BOINC defaults
14.06.2011 20:39:44 Reading preferences override file
14.06.2011 20:39:44 Preferences:

14.06.2011 20:39:44 max memory usage when idle: 1710.51MB

14.06.2011 20:39:44 don't use GPU while active

Before that I tried the same and waited for some hours but nothing happend.

What should I do to solve the problem?
Thanks!

No new workunits

your computers are hidden so no one can look at the outputs and or logs.

i would start by fixing what ever is causing your computers clock to get set so far in the future, if its a windows system change the default time server used by the system for "internet time" (double click the clock) to some thing besides the windows time server, i see your in germany so you can google for some time servers the few i have for germany are,

rustime01.rus.uni-stuttgart.de
ntps1-1.cs.tu-berlin.de
ntp1.fau.de

or simply disable the automatic time adjustment.

seeing without seeing is something the blind learn to do, and seeing beyond vision can be a gift.

Make sure your computer is using the default, or --- venue and that the preferences you set are using that venue. If they're set for Home, they won't be used.

Thank you guys! Just did

Thank you guys!

Just did the adjustments you told me to.

Status is, after a restart of the BOING Manager still on:

"14.06.2011 22:12:27 Fetching configuration file from http://einstein.phys.uwm.edu/get_project_config.php
"

Is it possible that I have to manually link my computer to the projekt? (exrass -> pick computer"

If I do that the Boinc Manager gets very slow and the column where normally the projekt+status are mentioned disappear. So I closed the client again and restartet it, having displayed the above mentioned column
