No luck correcting 'Aborted by User'

I have tried getting rid of Aborted by User entries on my Work screen by going to the Projects screen, highlighting the selected project and Updating.
The aborted items are still there aftere several attempts and several days during which I have successfully communicated with the server to do new work lots.
Any further thoughts?

Open Boinc Manager.
Go to the Projects tab.
Select the Einstein Project by clicking on it.
Click on the "Now new work" button on the left.
Do this for every project you have besides Einstein.
Go to the Work tab.
Suspend all the other work units in there that aren't "Aborted by User".
This will force BOINC to put those units at work.
They will now blink out/change to "ready to report".
Resume all the other work units in the Work tab.
Go back to the Projects tab.
Select the Einstein project by clicking on its name.
Click the "Allow new work" button on the left.
Do this for every project you have besides Einstein.
Click on the Einstein project again.
Click on the "Update" button on the left.
That should do it.
