Hi
I have completed several workunits recently, none of which have given any credits or have any credit pending.
Is there some issue here or am I wasting your work units and my computer time?
Until recently I have never had a problem with Einstein and have completed many work units.
Do I need to re download the application?
Cheers

Hi!
The E@H app features a few internal checks where the results of the computation are checked for plausibility. In the case of your PC, those checks fail on a regular basis, indicating an error in the computation. This could mean one of several things:
* a bug in the software. However, others were able to complete the same workunit using also the Windows app. It could still be a bug with some random element, tho.
* an instability in your PC. The error encountered here was also observed on PCs that were overclocked just a bit too much. Or the CPU could have a bug or production fault. Defective memory can also lead to this kind of error, as well as insufficient cooling.
So I guess it would be a good idea to check the hardware you are using.

I'd agree that there's some sort of issue with your system. That same computer also has an invalid result over at Cosmology...

Einstein is not recording credits at my end. Therefore I am not sure if the work units are be completed. The BOINC program dose work on the work unit, uploads and downloads, except the credits are not updated so I get the feeling that the work is not complete. What is going on? I running on Vista 64 and XP pro. I have the latest version of BOINC.

With your computers being hidden it's difficult for us to check what your computer is doing. Whether it is only waiting for wingmen to complete the tasks you did, before you get credit, or that you have only errors.

You have your computers hidden so I can only speculate. More than likely, your completed units are waiting for quorum partners to successfully submit their results, and then comparison validations can be made and credit awarded. View your computer's results and see if they are waiting on quorum partners to turn their results in on the same WUs.
