When I try to login on the BOINC web site, my email address and account key are rejected, although I've cut and pasted them from the email I got from SETI when I transferred to BOINC. Why is this? Do I need to create the account? If so, where do I do that?

Each project has their own sign-up. Einstein's sign up page is that link.

Good luck, and welcome to Einstein!

Thanks, I think I knew that,

Thanks, I think I knew that, and I'm subscribed to 3 of the BOINC projects and can access them all, edit my accounts etc. However, I am having connection problems and I wanted to post to one of the message boards on the MAIN BOINC site, and was asked to login. That's when I got rejected as the main site doesn't seem to know about me. Any ideas?

You mean here?

You will have to register there too.

fionajh,

Michael K has steered you directly to the information you requested.

I'm posting here to inform you that in looking over your computer/s, I've noticed 2 things:
(1) You seem to have 2 identical computers listed. Are they perhaps the same computer, registered twice?

(2) Your computer with the credit has several workunits errored-out with code 0cx0000005, symptomatic of the Dreaded Graphics Bug. If you'd like to prevent losing work and credit, check here for the well-known solution, applied to a similar case.

Regards,

Michael
