the error message I receive:

2/7/2006 9:42:26 PM|Einstein@Home|Message from server: No work sent
2/7/2006 9:42:26 PM|Einstein@Home|Message from server: (there was work but you don't have enough disk space allocated)
2/7/2006 9:42:26 PM|Einstein@Home|Message from server: No disk space (YOU must free 15069.6 MB before BOINC gets space). Review preferences for minimum disk free space allowed.

... my computer has more than 4 GB free. My preferences indicate that the project can use up to 5 GB. Is that the problem? That I don't have as many gigs free as I told the project it could use? Or is there something a little more messed up here?

niwikki,

How large is the drive? Boinc doesn't use much disk space, with the lone exception (I think) of Climate Prediction, but Boinc does like to be told that it can have a lot of room. If you can, in "General Preferences" set it for Use No More Than 10GB Disk Space, and Leave At Least 0.1GB Disk Space Free.
