We just updated the Android app version for BRP4 tasks (search for binary radio pulsars in Arecibo data) to version 1.43.

The science code is the same as in the previous version, but the new version includes a more recent version of the BOINC API code with a workaround for a problem in some older Android versions (< 4.1 as far as we know). This bug in Android could negatively affect BOINC when using the "CPU throttling" feature and when frequently suspending and resuming the science app (because of battery charge status, heat, or manual suspension). Please use the existing feedback thread in the "Problems" section for any bug reports or other feedback: http://einsteinathome.org/node/197076

New app version BRP4 1.43 (Android)

Any plans for getting the 1.44 (NEON) app from Albert at home moved over here?

My 2012 HTC One S produced 100% validate errors on the 1.43 (NEON) app both at Albert and Einstein, the 1.44 (NEON) app is working flawless on my HTC One S:

All tasks for computer 9756

Hi!

This is strange, the only difference is a version upgrade of the FFTW lib. Unfortunately the new version seems to perform slower on most phones, and for some reason your phone is one of very, very few that has problems with the old (current) version.

I'm hoping that the influx of HTC phones since the announcement of the HTC - BOINC partnership doesn't bring many more cases,

My 2012 Nexus 7 hasn't really shown any difference in speed: Application details for host 8807

I assume that is from fftw.org, what version was the old version?, and the new version?
(Eric at Seti is still having trouble with his Android Arm Seti apps, especially on my Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 powered 2012 HTC One S, and the Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro powered 2013 Nexus 7,
my 2012 Nvidia Tegra 3 T30L powered Nexus 7 and HTC One S's with different CPUs are fine)

fftw 3.3.4 was released yesterday by the way.
