I've been running for a few months with an ap_info.xml which is increasingly out-of-date. Until a few days ago the behavior was that I'd get server messages complaining: Your app_info.xml files don't have a version of Hierarchical S5 all-sky GW search #6
but then often enough downloading ABP work to keep my hosts occupied. The supply of ABP for my ap went almost completely dry nearly a week ago, with a few dribs and drabs which may have been re-issues. As I had 5-day queues, I've been letting the hosts run down to zero then pulling out the ap_info files. Just a short while ago, I got an added complaint to the previous one on an unconverted host, saying:Your app_info.xml files don't have a version of Arecibo Binary Pulsar Search (STSP)
This sounds rather as though the Binary Pulsar work has gone past a milestone of some sort, and new work requires a different ap. Or is there actually no new binary pulsar work at the moment?

Yes to both. There is now ABP2 ( optimisations ) superseding ABP1, and due to recent server side kerfuffles ( complex ) we've had stutters in the transition. Various technical issues are being resolved .....

Got one of the new ones. BOINC Manager displays "Arecibo Binary Pulsar Search (STSP) 3.02" in the column labelled application.
The actual executable on my (Windows XP) host is einsteinbinary_ABP2_3.02_windows_intelx86.
This first one had a very short execution time, 2142 CPU seconds on this Q9550 host. For comparison, on this host, GW work is currently requiring about about 12,000 to 15,000 CPU seconds in most cases, and the previous ABP was requiring a little under 19,000 typical.
