i've been running boinc on my computer on one project for about a week now, and it says that i've only completed about 20% of the project. is that really slow? and if so, is that a problem and can i make it work faster? thanx.

It helps if you change you preferences so that others can see your computer results to evaluate what is going on. From your account page you can choose "View or edit Einstin@Home Prefereces".
Then on The EInstein @Home preferences page choose yes to "Should Einstein @ Home show your computers on its web site." The default for this project is No which is why so much information is hidden.
It will not show privite info. like ip address.
