...and I have no idea why. Over the past week or so, it has steadily declined from a little over 100k to 47k as of this evening. Does anyone know why this may be the case?
Have you tried looking at your returned tasks on the website to see if there are any problems or any changes in the type of work your computer is crunching? Your computers are 'hidden' (default preference setting - only you can see your stuff) so unless you decide to 'un-hide' them or provide a link to a host, nobody will be able to check for you.
The new GW (Gravitational Wave) GPU app is out of test status now so if you are doing GPU crunching and have allowed the GW GPU search to run on your machine, that would be a possible reason since it's likely that they will take longer for many types of GPUs and each task gives a much lower credit amount than the other GPU search (FGRPB1G Gamma-ray pulsar) tasks.
What particular searches have you enabled in your project preferences?
These VelaJr1 tasks take more than double times longer to run the same amount of computational content (the typical 144 000 GFLOPs for example). That change will cause RAC to drop.

Same here. G2 takes around just above 10 min on my 1080 Ti and V2 takes ~35min. Good to know it's not a problem with my setup since it happened around the time I was messing with tasks per GPU even though I've reverted back to default.

Hey Gary, thanks for the message. How do I go about changing my preferences?
I've noticed that the number of active Einstein (and queued) tasks has dramatically decreased over the past two or so weeks.
Go to your account page on the website and click on preferences (far RHS in the sub-menu). On the preferences page you have further choices, Computing, Project, Community, Privacy, etc. You should explore them all but most defaults should be fine. Ask if not sure. In particular, you should review the searches with ticks against them as these will be the ones for which you get tasks.
Under the Privacy item is the setting to allow others to 'see' your computer details. There is no personal information revealed and it really makes it easier to answer help questions if basic hardware details can be viewed by those willing to help.

For the GW GPU tasks the focus of the data changed somewhere around 28 Nov. Names of the new tasks changed.
Before: h1_0768.50_O2C02Cl2In0__O2MDFG2_G34731_768.65Hz_13_2
Now: h1_0453.80_O2C02Cl4In0__O2MDFV2_VelaJr1_454.10Hz_20_0
